This page represents some of my more traditional painting, along with some of my early ventures heading in the direction of sculpture. The first two landscapes are acrylic paintings.

The shadow boxes, about 3 inches deep, are one step further toward sculpture. The large one is a mix of materials in the gesso coated sculpture which is then painted in acrylic. The smaller one allows some unpainted or slightly highlighted miniatures as part of the scene.

The floral piece either a rather flat sculpture or an extremely textured painting. It has real dried flowers dipped in gesso and stuck to the hardboard with acrylic, and finally painted in acrylic.

I wanted some artwork to brighten up the end of a long hallway in our new house. I painted these acrylics in 2014, the first artwork produced in our new house.
